Grief and Loss

Linda and Susie
Linda Kreter and Susie Reece bring you the first in our series about Grief and Loss. There are many faces to loss, and grief is intimate and individual. It’s not often we discuss mourning, the bewilderment of loss, the lack of timeline, and the often lingering, lifetime gaps in our understanding. We want to start the conversation, and let you know you’re not alone in this altogether human experience.

Pausing is rarely done in this busy, busy world. Yet, the value of an intentional pause, reflection, and memories are meaningful. We live in an immediate world. Do we even know how to “grieve healthier?” Is stoicism and/or vulnerability best for you? How does your family dynamic affect you? What behavior are we modeling to those younger family and friends? Grief and loss take an emotional and even physical toll; we will be continuing this discussion and welcome you to this series.

Future episodes will cover Sudden Loss, Gradual Loss, Compassion versus Comparison, Language of Loss, Feeling Alone After Loss, Sibling Loss, Children and Loss, Grief is Unique, and the Power of Presence to Heal — and more. Life is precious, and so is saying goodbye.
